This album showcases Deep Purples astonishing concert at Paradiso, in Amsterdam, on 24 August 1969.

The show saw the iconic Mark II line-up of Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice rip through an early version of Speed King, called Kneel and Pray, fan favourite Child in Time, a unique cover of the Rolling Stones classic Paint It, Black and more.

Two bonus tracks, including Hush, are taken from the Mark I line-ups performance at the Playboy Club, in New York, on 23 October 1968, during the bands The Book of Taliesyn Tour.
