Original price was: $33.99.$20.39Current price is: $20.39.Coda was released two years after the death of John Bonham in 1980. It was meant to officially release and gather tracks that were previously only available on bootleg, and to fulfill Led Zeppelin's obligation to Atlantic Records. However, it doesn't contain every non-LP track the band released, such as "Hey Hey What Can I Do" or anything from the BBC sessions. These tracks would be added to a 1993 CD revision of the compilation and a three-disc overhaul in 2015. Coda does include three rock songs that didn't make it to the In Through the Out Door album: "Ozone Baby," "Darlene," and "Wearing and Tearing." Had these tracks been included in the album, it would have had a different sound. Alongside these, there are a few other songs that highlight the band's musical range, such as "We're Gonna Groove," "Walter's Walk," and "Poor Tom." The album also includes a live version of "I Can't Quit You Baby" and "Bonzo's Montreux," which is a showcase for the drummer. Overall, the album gives a good snapshot of what made Led Zeppelin a great band: their ability to groove and rock out.
