With such inspiring sidemen as Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson and Duke Pearson, Green is heard at the absolute apex of his creativity throughout this stunning set. The album kicks off with the seductive, Pearson-penned title track. At nearly 15 minutes, tracks of this length were unheard of at the time. The final track recorded on the first night of recording, Green accidentally soloed for 64-bars instead of the agreed upon 32, with Pearson, Henderson and Hutcherson following his lead.
