BENNIE GREEN Back On The Scene (Blue Note Tone Poet Series 2026 limited edition 6-track LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. Originally released in 1958, Back On The Scene was trombonist Bennie Green's Blue Note debut and featuresa quintet with Charlie Rouse on saxophone, Joe Knight on piano, George Tucker on bass and Louis Hayes on drums. The programme moves between standards, Green's own "Bennie Plays The Blues" and two compositions by Melba Liston - "Melba's Mood"and "Green Street". This Blue Note Tone Poet edition is presented in High Fidelity, mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio from the original master tape, plated and pressed at RTI on 180-gram vinyl, and housed in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket picture sleeve with original cover artwork and hype sticker, factory sealed.
