Todd Rundgren's innovative 1985 debut for Warner Records returns to vinyl for the first time since its original release. Built entirely from vocal performances, A Cappella shows Rundgren's pioneering use of overdubbing and an E-mu Emulator, electronically reshaping his voice to stand in for drums, keyboards, guitars, handclaps and fullarrangements. The result is one of his most distinctive and experimental works, marking a key creative moment before his subsequent solo hiatus.
