Introduction

The Bloom ID Tag (a raw-edge pattern) is a basic cardholder design that will hold at least 2 cards. The front of the tag features a clear window for your ID and there is an additional card slot at the back. Add a strip of leather cording and it can be used as a luggage tag as well!

Included in the pattern are two different styles - Gen 1 and Gen 2. Gen 1 was my first version of this pattern. It has a straight edge at the top and will require a separate d-ring tab to be inserted. What I have found is that the d-ring tab wears down quickly and tend to break off, especially when using vinyls that have weaker fibres (vinyl for hair-bow craft for example). This has led me to develop Gen 2, where a sturdier option, such as the eyelet, is used in place of a d-ring. It has a gentle curvature along the top edge and everything else remains the same. Gen 1 will work perfectly fine when using more durable material such as marine vinyl. Pattern caters to both directional and non-directional prints. A super quick project to sew up as gifts or craft shows!
