A vocalist who sang with the orchestras of Louis Armstrong in the late 1930s, Duke Ellington and Luis Russell in the early 1950s, Bobbe (Bobbie) Castons last known recording was a early R&B affair on the tiny New York based Atlas Records label Call Me Darling, Call Me Sweetheat, Call Me Dear b/w Why Wasnt I Told, released in 1958. Call Me Darling is actually a modern update of the same song Bobbe recorded in 1947 with Teddy Buckner and his orchestra. Presented here is the original 45 RPM issue, newly remastered.
