Originally released in 2015 Born In The Echoes marked The Chemical Brothers' return to the studio after Further, and found the duo sharpening their sound into something sleek, forceful and highly detailed. Across eleven tracks, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons move between mechanical groove, fractured psychedelia, acid pressure and widescreen atmosphere without losing the sense of momentum that drives the record from start to finish. The album also features a strong set of collaborators, with Q-Tip returning on "Go", Ali Love appearing on "EML Ritual", and first-time contributions from St. Vincent, Cate Le Bon and Beck. Those guest appearances are folded into the duo's production in a way that adds texture and contrast, giving the album a broader vocal and tonal range while keeping the focus on its tightly built electronic framework.
