Now the successor of the recently released surprise single "Life Story Love And Glory" as well as the new 12" EP 'Stare' from 2012 is available.
Loon' was recorded in autumn 2014 over a period of five days at Nils' Durton Studio in Berlin. The five tracks, driven by synthesizer sounds, a kick drum and band effects, continue what already began with 'Stare', but with the addition of more percussive elements and dub influences. Arnalds and Frahm connected an Oberheim 4 Voice and a Korg PS3100 to the mixing console. The duo recorded various takes on both instruments and recorded all mixes directly onto a 2-track inch band. So the tracks were less produced, but rather recorded live: While Arnalds contributed some elements via the faders, Frahm used and disabled effects. After a few mixes they decided on the five strongest recordings of their session. The slightly psychedelic packaging design was created by graphic artist Torsten Posselt, who is closely associated with Erased Tapes.A1 Four
