Formed in 1985 by Genesis founding member Mike Rutherford, Mike + The Mechanics released their first album in 1985 and went on to achieve an enviable string of hit singles and albums. Now, 35+ years since its original release The Living Years is being re-released for National Album Day, pressed on 180-gram limited edition grey & black marbled vinyl.

The Living Years line-up includes Mike Rutherford from Genesis on guitar and bass, vocalists Paul Carrack and Paul Young, Adrien Lee (keyboards), and Peter Van Hooke (drums).
