• Modest Mouse are among America's great indie rock bands. Their 2004 album "Good news for people who love bad news" is considered a genre classic and has been certified platinum.
  As of 2006, even former The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr was part of the band. "This is a long drive for someone with nothing to think about" is considered the band's debut, although "Sad Sappy Sucker" was recorded earlier.
  Released in 1996, this album captivates with slow, sad as well as soulful songs that are countered by heavy guitar attacks.
