Power Trip were already hardcore titans in the explosive aftermath of their 2013 debut, Manifest Decimation, but Nightmare Logic is the record that planted the Texas band firmly in the metal world. The quintet fronted by the late Riley Gale expertly navigated the subtle yet important distinctions between metallic hardcore and thrash without sounding like they were abandoning the former or fully crossing into the latter.
