• The Exciting Wilson Picket is the third album by R&B and soul singer WILSON PICKETT. The album contains some of his most famous hits and all other songs are absolutely equal. His cover versions of R&B standards like Something You Got and Mercy Mercy are excellent and give an impression of PICKETTS great vocal abilities.
  The Exciting Wilson Picket is an energetic and highly audible record with the classic rhythm section of Cropper, Dunn, Jackson Jr and Isaac Hayes on piano. Land of 1000 Dances and 634-5789 (Soulsville, USA) are among his most famous songs, which can be found on this album along with classics like In the Midnight Hour. The album as a whole can be regarded as one of the best soul albums of the 60s.
  WILSON PICKETT is a leading figure in the development of American soul music, recording over 50 charts of relevant songs. He died in 2004 and will always be recognized as an important person in the soul scene.
